Privacy Policy

Last updated — September 2026

Counterplay ("the app") is developed by Noise Factory Productions Inc. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.

Data collection

Counterplay does not require an account, login, or sign-up of any kind. The app does not collect, transmit, or have access to any personal data on our servers, because we don't operate any servers that store your data.

Where your data lives

All information you enter into Counterplay — including opponent profiles, tagged traits, custom plays, match notes, and your own player profile — is stored locally on your device.

If you have iCloud enabled on your device, Counterplay uses Apple's iCloud key-value storage to back up this same data privately to your own iCloud account, so it can be restored if you reinstall the app or switch to a new device. This backup is private to you — Apple manages this storage, and Noise Factory Productions Inc has no access to it, no ability to view it, and no copy of it anywhere else.

Third parties

Counterplay does not share your data with any third party. We do not use advertising networks, analytics trackers, or any service that collects data about you or your usage of the app.

Data you choose to share

Counterplay may let you open links to external content, such as YouTube instructional videos. Visiting those links is subject to that third party's own privacy policy, not ours.

Children's privacy

Counterplay is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
